10/26//15 UPDATE - NEW MISSION SCHEDULED
PEIVDF provides their expert services - and the supplies required in the provision of these service - directly to the animals. That way, PEIVDF's efforts directly benefit each animal on which we work. Facilities as a whole do not receive direct monetary benefit from the provision of PEIVDF services.
Upcoming Missions: OPEN
Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary - November 21-22, 2015
PEIVDF will be returning the Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary in Locust Grove, GA on the weekend of November 21-22, 2015. The patient list currently includes 3 bears, a capuchin, and several birds. This is your chance to learn "orthobeakics" from the master - Dr Peter Emily.
PEIVDF is calling for 3 students for this teaching mission. This will be a small team, so it will be a great learning opportunity.
We also have room for 1 tourist on this mission. To find out about tourist spots, visit our Big 5 Benefactor page. Level 3 Leopard included one tourist spot.
To apply to attend as a student, if you haven't already done so, please download, complete in Word, save, and email your VDWoB Worker Questionnaire to: firstname.lastname@example.org
The form can be downloaded from this page on our site:
If/once we have your completed questionnaire, email us and let us know you are interested in attending the Wildlife Waystation mission. The mission leader will then make decisions on attendees based on the doctors and instructors, as well as the final patient list.
Upcoming Missions: IN SCHEDULING
Exotic Feline Rescue Center - Spring 2016
PEIVDF will be returning to the Exotic Feline Rescue Center in the Spring of 2016. The patient list is still being developed, but as always, we expect to have the usual mix of lions and tigers (no bears...)
As soon as we have more information on a date and proposed patients, we'll post on FACEBOOK and send out another newsletter.
The Wild Animal Sanctuary - UPDATE
The lions from Peru and Colombia being rescued by Animal Defenders International (ADI) will not be coming to The Wild Animal Sanctuary (TWAS) as originally planned. ADI is currently working on the relocation of these animals, and as more is know, we'll let everyone know.
TWAS continue to rescue many animal all year long, and we expect to have some work to do in the Fall.
Wildcat Sanctuary - Spring 2016
Our Fall mission to Wildcat Sanctuary in Sandstone MN has been moved to Spring 2016, as all of their residents look to be in good shape. This is a very good thing! PEIVDF loves healthy teeth! As soon as we have more detail on patient list and possible dates, we'll update Facebook and send a newsletter.
