Performing Animals Welfare Society (PAWS) - FULL
PAWS, located in San Andreas, California, has a total of (5) five known cases. PEIVDF has filled all rescue operation worker positions for PAWS. Thank you all for your interest and support.
For each rescue operation, PEIVDF needs to ensure we are balancing the needs of the animals with the need to educate the next generation of skilled, qualified exotic veterinary dentists. Currently, PEIVDF is working to educate the next generation of teachers, which at this stage in our development, represents candidates with significant experience and education in veterinary dentistry, who need to hone their skills working on the many exotic species we encounter in our work.
As the financial and teaching resources of the charity expand, so too will the pool of workers from which we draw for subsequent rescue operations. In the interim, you can help by donating to the charity to enable us to continue to fund more and more rescue operations to the many facilities that can benefit from our services.
To apply to attend the PAWS rescue operation, download the VDWoB Worker Questionnaire form. If you have already submitted your completed form to us, please email us at rescueops@peteremilyfoundation.org. We'll notify you if your qualifications meet the current needs of the rescue operation.
UPCOMING RESCUE OPERATIONS
Center for Animal Research & Education (CARE)
Located in Bridgeport, Texas, Big Cat Care is home to over 50 large cats, with more needing homes as smaller facilities around the country succumb to financial woes, and scramble to find new homes for their residents. To read more about Big Cat Care, please visit their site: www.bigcatcare.org
Wild Animal Sanctuary
Located in Keenesburg, Colorado, Wild Animal Sanctuary specializes in rescuing large carnivores, as they face the highest risk of being euthanized, more than other exotic animals, due to the danger associated with their care. To read more about this facility and its unique habitats, please visit their site: www.wildanimalsanctuary.org
PEIVDF is currently working on scheduling rescue operations to these and other wonderful facilities. As soon as dates are set and rescue op worker requirements are known, calls for rescue op workers will be sent out. Please check back again for updates. Sign up for our eRescue letter and be the first to know when and where a new rescue operation will be. Enter your email address in the "Join our eNewsletter" box in the page header, and choose Rescue Ops on the form.
If you are interested in working with the foundation on a future rescue operation, please fill out our VDWoB Worker Questionnaire (if you have not done so already) and email it to us at:
